Description

We are seeking a Program Supervisor for the Community Day Service Program. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and caring individual that is looking to make a difference in the life of people with special needs.

Shift: 1st

Pay Rate: $22.50 hourly 


Responsibilities:

  • Trains and monitors personnel in the implementation of persons served programs
  • Trains, supervises, and assists personnel in the completion of industrial subcontracts
  • Drives a morning and afternoon transportation route for people served in the CDS from the community
  • Works cooperatively with recreational therapist to facilitate individual and group programming
  • Communicates department and Agency performance expectations to subordinate personnel
  • Monitors subordinates’ performance daily and initiates corrective action as needed
  • Motivates subordinates in the performance of job duties
  • Substitutes for subordinate personnel during periods between the hiring of a subordinate employee and when subordinates do not report to work
  • Assists in the implementation of small programming groups for persons served with similar needs
  • Assists subordinates in the development and implementation of gainful organized activities during periods when industrial subcontracts are not available to persons served
  • Assists in the implementation of Implementation Strategies
  • Oversees and assists in the completion of annual persons served assessments
  • Works cooperatively with the department’s Industrial Services personnel to ensure that the quality and quantity specifications are met for each contract
  • Ensures subordinate personnel implement and adhere to all principles of active treatment
  • Works cooperatively with department, Agency, and funding personnel to ensure the persons served’ needs are met


Qualifications:

  • Three years related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation or related field preferred, but not required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a criminal background check and physical/drug test
  • Pass a MVR background check
