We are seeking a motivated Trainer and Quality Assurance Coordinator to conduct our in-house training for Direct Support Person’s (DSP). This individual will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Agency in-service Training and Quality Assurance . Must have previous experience working in a Social Service agency, a bachelor’s degree, and one-year hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the training program and creating training plans using our web based training system.
  • Select appropriate training methods and identify sources for training content.
  • Create skill practice exercises and select appropriate training methods.
  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor for quality.
  • Deliver training courses for new hires and continuing staff.
  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for supervisors.
  • Develops & implements an Agency-wide in-service training program
  • Ability to design, deliver and maintain a diversified training program
  • Evaluates and assesses the appropriateness of the training program
  • Bills the Department of Human Service (DHS) for our trainees hours
  • Add Trainees to the DHS registry
  • Maintains accurate training records
  • Maintains CPR instructor certification
  • Has knowledge of pertinent licensing regulations
  • Travels to Group Homes to assist trainees with on-the-job booklet (OJT) (
  • Inspect the Group Homes
  • Develop quality assurance standards and company processes.
  • Collect data, analyze, and compile
  • Create reports documenting errors and issues for fixing.
  • Write corrective action reports.
  • Run quarterly QA meetings.

Physical Demands

  • Physical effort will involve sitting, standing, walking, driving a vehicle, writing, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending, and stretching.
  • Will be required to travel to our Group Homes (CILA's)
  • Must be physically able to perform Agency approved Behavior Management techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Service or related field
  • Certified as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)
  • One year of hands-on experience working with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • CPR instructor certified preferred.
