St. Coletta’s of Illinois has served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for 77 years. We are currently seeking Direct Support Staff to care for individuals with developmental disabilities in one of our group home. Each home is uniquely constructed to care for a specific disability, offering an ideal environment for each resident. Direct Care Staff are needed to maintain the security and quality of life of each of our residents.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning
• Cooking
• Toileting/changing adults diapers/ hygiene assistance
• Lifting and transferring adults from beds, wheelchairs, furniture, bathtub, etc...
• Administering Medication
• Transporting client to/from activities
• Treating consumers with dignity and respect in all aspects of care providing.
• The physical effort will involve sitting, standing, walking, operating a vehicle, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, bending and stretching.

Shifts are full or Part-time. During your first year, you would accrue 2 weeks of paid vacation, 3 personal days, 6 sick days and 10 paid Holidays. Also, all employees working more than 20 hours per week receive free long-term disability and free life insurance 2.5x your annual salary.

Previous experience preferred, but not required. We offer competitive wages $12.64 and paid training.    Applicants must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a high school diploma or equivalent and pass a criminal background check.
